⚠️ Important Notice

IF THIS IS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR CRISIS SITUATION, DIAL 911 OR YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE SERVICE IMMEDIATELY. Stella is not a healthcare provider, therapist, or counselor and is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or visit your nearest emergency room.

These Terms apply only to the Stella Slack app and integration. For the Stella iOS / mobile app, see the main Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stella for Slack app (the "Slack App"), provided by StellaLabs, LLC ("StellaLabs," "we," "us," or "our"). By installing, authorizing, or using the Slack App in a Slack workspace, you accept these Terms and our Slack Privacy Policy.

1. The Slack App

The Slack App provides AI-powered emotional wellness support inside Slack via direct messages, slash commands, and other Slack surfaces. The Slack App is a self-help and emotional wellness tool. It is not a healthcare service, therapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency service.

2. Workspace Authorization and User Responsibility

  • Installation of the Slack App requires authorization from a Slack workspace administrator. By installing the Slack App, the installing administrator represents that they have authority to install Slack applications on behalf of the workspace.
  • The workspace and each individual user are responsible for the messages, prompts, and other content they send to the Slack App.
  • You agree not to use the Slack App for unlawful behavior, abuse, harassment, or false emergency reporting, and not to use the Slack App in violation of Slack's own terms or policies.

3. AI Limitations

The Slack App generates responses using artificial intelligence (currently Anthropic's Claude). AI responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You should not rely on the Slack App for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Use of the Slack App is at your own risk.

4. Data, Deletion, and Support

Information about the data the Slack App collects, how it is used, and how to delete it is described in our Slack Privacy Policy.

You may delete your Slack App data by:

  • Typing /stella delete-data in Slack,
  • Emailing legal@stellalabs.ai with the subject "Delete My Slack Data," or
  • Uninstalling the Slack App from your workspace.

5. Disclaimers

THE SLACK APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. STELLALABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STELLALABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SLACK APP.

7. Changes

We may update these Slack Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms at this URL and update the "Last Updated" date.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, seated in Miami, Florida, on an individual non-class basis.
